BROOK PARK, Ohio – The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Brook Park hotel Wednesday to assist in shutting it down after receiving hundreds of nuisance reports.

The Brook Park mayor announced alongside Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty at 11:30 a.m. that they would be closing the Travelodge at 16161 Brookpark Road.

According to Mayor Tom Coyne, more than 600 calls have been made about the hotel since 2013. About 22 calls have been made just in the month of January. Authorities said at least one case of human trafficking was investigated at the hotel.
