CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

Several media outlets are reporting that Anderson Varejao will be headed to Portland this afternoon.

Sources say the Cleveland Cavaliers is trading the veteran forward for Channing Frye.

The 32-year-old power forward is currently with the Orlando Magic and would add extra shooting to the Cavs bench.

No player was happier than Andy Varejao when LeBron James decided to return to the Cavaliers in the summer of 2014. Varejao was the only one left from the team that LeBron led to the NBA Finals in 2007, and after enduring multiple injuries, and losses, in the ‘down’ years that followed LeBron’s departure, Varejao finally had playoff runs to look forward to again.

It won’t happen now. Not with LeBron and the Cavaliers.
