AKRON, Ohio — He’s a black bear just doing black bear things. That’s how the Akron Black Bear (@AkronBear) describes himself on Twitter with the hashtag #summitmetroparks. The bear already has hundreds of followers, but as of Tuesday afternoon, was only following two: The Akron Honey Company and Summit Metro Parks.
Akron Bear’s tweets include the things he loves– including a certain book about a brown bear– and, of course, the Akron Zoo.
The account was created as a black bear has been spotted in several Northeast Ohio cities. The latest sighting was Tuesday morning in Akron.
