CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

The popular game Pokemon Go includes the place where 12-year-old Tamir Rice was shot by police in Cleveland in November 2014.

The gazebo is now a “Pokestop” in the game, reports Belt Magazine, with the description, “Community memorial for Tamir Rice, shot and killed by CPD officers who shot him in under 2s after breaking department policy regarding escalation of force.”

For those of you not familiar with the game, PokeStops are places in Pokemon Go that allow you to collect items such as eggs to capture more Pokemon. The items will be located at places, such as historical markers, monuments, and art installations.

The gazebo is an unofficial memorial. There are signs and teddy bears at the site at Cudell Recreation Center.
