BEREA, OH (WOIO) –
The Cleveland Browns are not looking to trade Josh Gordon, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Schefter reported earlier in the day Tuesday that multiple teams had reached out to the Browns to inquire about the wide receiver’s availability.
Gordon should make his preseason debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, and took reps with the Browns in Florida Tuesday.
“It was good work,” he said. “It was good out there to see a lot of old faces I know from Tampa Bay.”
Gordon said he didn’t have much to say about the trade rumors.
“I haven’t heard too much about it,” he said. “Cleveland is my team. That is where I want to be and everything like that, but that’s not even in the ballpark for me. I’m not really sure how that works.”
He said he thinks the world of owner Jimmy Haslam and head coach Hue Jackson.
“They’re family,” he said. “They’re showing me love and respect back to me by allowing me to stay here up to this point, and I expect to move forward with that. I’m excited about it. It’s where I want to be and I’m happy to be in Cleveland.”
