After Colin Kaepernick decided to not stand during the National Anthem beginning last month during the NFL’s preseason, and soon after deciding to kneel during the recital, many other NFL players are following suit. Political gestures including Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters raising his black-gloved fist during the National Anthem earlier today is one of many recent examples of the players demonstrating their take on the injustices of black American citizens being undermined by the America’s judicial system.

Many Miami Dolphins team members repeated that same sentiment on Sunday by kneeling during the National Anthem before their Week 1 matchup versus the Seattle Seahawks. After the game, Dolphins running back Arian Foster explained why he and several of his teammates decided to take kneel during the National Anthem.

And Kate Upton is one of the many people who stands firmly against NFL players deciding to not stand up during the singing of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Earlier today, the model and actress retweeted her fiancée and Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander about how he prefers to stand during the National Anthem.

Later in the day, Upton apparently spotted a tweet from ESPN’s Sportscenter about many Miami Dolphins kneeling during the National Anthem, and began to lambast the team in a series of tweets, in which one read, “This is unacceptable. You should be proud to be an American. Especially on 9/11 when we should support each other.”
