PARMA, OH (WOIO) –

Before Gordmans opens in Parma on Sept. 22, there were only three other stores in the state. There are Northeast Ohio stores in Mentor and Aurora and one in Cinncinati.

The new 45,000-square-foot store will open at 8253 W. Ridgewood Dr. as part of the overhaul at The Shoppes of Parma.

Gordmans, a Nebraska-based store, offers discounted home decor items and clothes for men and women.

Once the Parma store opens, Gordmans will operate 106 stores in 62 markets and 22 states. The Shoppes at Parma location is Gordmans’ fourth store in Ohio. Over the past six years, Gordmans has increased its store base by about 40%.

“Gordmans is delighted to open its Parma store and offer incredible values on a wide array of merchandise for the entire family. Guests who know us say they love Gordmans because they find the merchandise they want at affordable prices,” said Sue Buckwalter, store manager. “We provide a department store shopping experience offering favorite name brands in apparel for all ages, designer fragrances, footwear, accessories, home décor, pet toys and more. With the holiday season fast approaching, Gordmans is your convenient, one-stop shopping destination where you can find merchandise for everyone on your shopping list at prices you’ll love. We look forward to welcoming shoppers and delighting them with big savings.”
