EUCLID, Ohio – A Euclid High School football player, who was injured in a game Friday, died from blunt impact to the abdomen, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office.

Andre Jackson, a 17-year-old junior at Euclid High School died Sunday from a small bowel laceration. He was injured in Friday’s football game against Solon High School.

Video from the Solon City School District showed Jackson was hit by an opponent’s foot in the abdomen during the game.

Jackson died Sunday, one day after he was released from the hospital.
