CLEVELAND – LeBron James spoke Wednesday on the topic of “locker room talk.”
It’s been a hot headline since audio and video recordings were released over the weekend in which Donald Trump was caught making crude comments about women.
After the tapes were leaked, Trump released a statement that said: “This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course — not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.”
Several athletes have spoken up since he made that statement, including Udonis Haslem of the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Browns’ own Andrew Hawkins.
Here’s what LeBron James said when asked about it after practice Wednesday:
“What is locker room talk to me? It’s not what that guy said. We don’t disrespect women in no shape or fashion in our locker room. That never comes up. I got a mother-in-law, a wife, a mom and a daughter and those conversations just don’t go on in our locker room.”
