Kanye West Explains His Beef with Jay Z During One of His Shows

Say it ain’t so! Because it looks like “politics” have forged a wedge between businessman Jay Z and creative Kanye West’s relationship, making them the real losers of these ridiculous streaming wars. The customers, too. We’re also getting screwed out of great music over here!

During his Saint Pablo show in Seattle Wednesday night, a fired up Kanye offered an update on that Drake joint album that was first discussed in February 2015. In short, Tidal and Apple Music aren’t playing nice. Jay Z wants to protect Tidal’s interests while Kanye just wants to get good music out to the fans without limitations.

“Y’all ain’t get what y’all was suppose to get with me and Drake because of some Tidal/Apple [Music] bullsh*t,” a pissed Kanye sounded off last night. “This sh*t got me tight, yo! Every time I perform [‘N*ggas in Paris’], I think about this sh*t. I think about the politics and the bullsh*t. I think about how hard I go for music, for art, for y’all, the fans. How hard we go.”

According to Kanye, the politics plus Drake’s beef with Meek Mill also played a major part in The Throne being left off Views‘ “Pop Style.” As it turns out, Jay didn’t want to be associated with the song “out of respect for Meek Mill.”
