DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
The Cleveland Foundation is celebrating the return of Winterfest in Public Square – and the inaugural season of the Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink – by offering the public a free day of skating this Saturday, Nov. 26, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Skaters will enjoy free skate rentals and a free 45-minute session on the ice, weather permitting. Tickets are required and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Up to 2,100 tickets will be distributed – 150 tickets per time slot. The first skate begins at 8 a.m. and the last skate will be completed by 11 p.m. Skaters are welcomed to bring their own skates, as well.
The Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink will remain open for the season until Feb. 28, 2017, with skating available for $10 per skater, which includes skate rental. Additionally, Holiday Friends and Family 10-packs will be available for sale on-site. The Group Plan Commission will apply proceeds from the rink to future programming in Public Square.
More information about the free day at Cleveland Foundation Skating Rink can be found at www.clevelandfoundation.org/skate.
