PARMA, OH (WOIO) –
Parma Metal Center employees received good news Wednesday.
Managers announced General Motors Company is awarding a $218 million investment at Parma to prepare the facility for future product programs.
“For Parma, today’s investment news continues to create good, stable jobs for our family and communities’ economic future. Through the collective bargaining process, UAW members at Parma stamping have secured long-term commitments to continue to produce world-class products for General Motors,” Ken Lortz, UAW Region 2-B director said.
“This is a major investment for Parma and is a vote of confidence in the men and women who are the foundation of this plant. We look forward to an exciting future supporting the customers of GM North America,” said Lamar Rucker, Parma plant manager.
