CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
Downtown Cleveland will now benefit from the first fire company focused on serving the area in more than 17 years.
The City of Cleveland is re-opening Fire Station #28 in the Gateway District as a result of the passing of Issue 32, the income tax.
“Issue 32, we voted for it, the people voted for it. This is a tremendous day,” said Cleveland Fire Chief Angelo Calvillo.
Station #28 will provide backup support to stations #1 and #4.
