BROOKLYN, Ohio – Police and the evidence response team are processing items found in a wooded area in Brooklyn.
A source close to the investigation tells News 5 the search is connected to the disappearance of Lakewood mother Roaa S Al Dhannoon.
Members of the Lakewood Police Department, FBI, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ohio Search and Recovery K-9 Team searched the area along Big Creek.
A container buried along the creek was located and excavated. The item is “suspected of containing biological remains,” according to Lakewood police.
The medical examiner’s office responded to the scene and took possession of the container.
Al Dhannoon, 24, was last seen at her Edgewater Drive apartment in October. She was recently divorced from her husband, who was later charged with violating a protection order. He is currently serving a 6-month sentence in jail but has not be charged in connection with her disappearance.
