One of the reporters from ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV hosted the ceremony spotlighting Franklin.
DETROIT (WXYZ) – Detroit has honored the Queen of Soul with a street named in her honor.
Madison between Witherell and Brush Streets, right outside the Music Hall, has been renamed Aretha Franklin Way.
An emotional Franklin pulled the cover off the sign, revealing the new name at a cermony in her honor.
