The Cleveland Clergy Coalition, United Pastors in Mission ,The American Center for Economic Equality and The Black Contractors Group hosted a Community Forum Thursday.

The gathering, held at Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church in Cleveland, worked to inform the community of its support for the Q Transformation Project.

“Were it not for The Q, the Indians and the Browns we would not have the multiplicity of jobs young Africans have and basically the American community.  We need The Q because it generates money,” said Dr. E. T. Caviness, pastor of the local Cleveland church.

This collective stands in contrast to a newly-formed coalition of Cleveland-area organizations that submitted a petition with 20,000 signatures to city hall Monday to put the Quicken Loans Arena deal on the ballot.
