Kim Kardashian is meeting with that guy from the Apprentice at the White House Wednesday in an effort to secure a pardon for 62-year-old Alice Marie Johnson. Johnson, as Kardashian has previously discussed on social media, is currently serving a life sentence without parole for a firs-time, nonviolent drug offense.

The meeting, first reported by Vanity Fair Tuesday night, follows months of behind-the-scenes talks between Kardashian and Jared Kushner. Ahead of the meeting with the guy who insists the Central Park Five are guilty despite DNA evidence, Kardashian and her attorney will join Kushner in the West Wing for a prison reform discussion.

Earlier this month, Kardashian opened up to Mic about her dedication to securing Johnson’s freedom. “If you think about a decision that you’ve made in your life and you get life without the possibility of parole for your first-time nonviolent offense, there’s just something so wrong with that,” she said.
