History can be made again as California Senator Kamala Harris has officially thrown her hat in the ring to run for President of the United States in 2020.

If elected Kamala Harris would not only the first female president, but she would be the first African American female president to run our country.

Kamala Harris is a Oakland, California native that graduate of Howard University.  Prior to becoming a senator Kamala Harris was elected to District Attorney of San Francisco and from there she was elected in 2010 as California’s Attorney General.

Kamala Harris was also one of 3 senator that went to the forefront to make ‘lynching’ a federal hate crime:

Three black senators, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, and Tim Scott, introduced a bill called the Justice for Victims of Lynching Act of 2018, which proposes a law to make lynching a federal hate crime.

Here is where our voting power is important, especially with the lesson we have learned with our now administration.
