The GRAMMY Museum welcomed GRAMMY®-winning R&B artist Thelma Houston as she received a new Grammy Award that was destroyed in the 1994 Northridge, California earthquake. The GRAMMY Museum®’s Clive Davis Theater presented An Evening with Thelma Houston on the 25th anniversary of the earthquake, where Scott Goldman served as the moderator for an intimate conversation and performance by Houston.

Perhaps best known for her number one international hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way,” Thelma Houston shared her inspirational journey that chronicles her illustrious career, by sharing intimate musical stories and behind-the-scenes adventures along with a very special acoustic performance, leading up to her iconic GRAMMY® Award–winning number one pop song “Don’t Leave Me This Way.”

After 50 years of performing, 23 albums, and winning a GRAMMY Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance, Houston continues to celebrate her long and outstanding career.
