Prayers and condolences are in order as the R&B world has lost another legend. It’s being reported that Just Another Kid From Akron, Multi nominated and 2 time Grammy award winning singer James Ingram has lost his battle with brain cancer at the young age of 66.

Sources close to the singer tell us James had been fighting the cancer for an extended period. Actress and choreographer Debbie Allen reacted to the news Tuesday, saying … “I have lost my dearest friend.

James Ingram is best known for his quiet storm hit duet with Patti Austin ‘Baby Come To Me’ and Grammy Award winning song ‘One Hundred Ways’.
James Ingram is survived by his high school sweet heart/wife Debra Robinson, 6 children and brother Phillip Ingram of another legendary music group SWITCH.
