NBC's '75th Annual Golden Globe Awards' - Arrivals

Recently at the Sundance Film Festival, Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer drew attention to an up-and-coming advocate for equal pay for women in the film industry, no other than Just That Kid from Akron, L.A. Laker, LeBron James.  Much like C.J. Walker, the black self-made millionaire that  Octavia Spencer plays in the upcoming series, Spencer’s talent has brought her critical acclaim, with roles in blockbusters including “The Shape of Water,” “Hidden Figures” and “The Help.”  And with that resume’ it is only right that much coins are required.

And with the help of King James, executive producer for a new Netflix series alongside Octavia Spencer, the NBA star had to snatch the ball  and go aggressively to the basket during negotiations over the pay she would receive for her work on “Madam C.J. Walker.” Read More
