Me and my husband got married 5 years ago. About 2 years into the marriage things got really funky, we weren’t communicating like we should, he was and still is a workaholic being a newly wed was weighing on my and I made a poor decision and cheated on my husband once. I told my husband what I had done, we went through a really really rough patch but stayed together and we are doing a lot better except when we get into little disagreements. Every time we have a little fights he brings up that I had cheated. I thought we had moved past it and he said he had forgiven me but how long should I allow this past mistake to keep coming up or will it always be the case? I know forgiving is one thing and forgetting is even more harder but when will it be let go, and how long should I have to suffer for my mistake?
