Between all the award shows, movie premiers, film festivals and more, there definitely wasn’t a lack of red carpet style for 2016. 1. MICHELLE OBAMA AT THE BLACK CAUCUS’ PHOENIX AWARDS DINNER 2016
There is nothing she wears that doesn’t emote elegance and class with a modern twist. She wore a striking gold, Naeem Khan dress. Unlike most golden dresses, this one didn’t have sequin or sparkle, but rather metallic fabric weaved throughout to add texture and dimension. President Barack Obama who? It’s clear who stole the show.
2. VIOLA DAVIS SAG AWARDS
This lavender Zac Posen gown looked regal and elegant on the How To Get Away With Murder actress. The neckline is feminine, yet had architecture, for a eye catching (and sexy) look.
3. JENNIFER LOPEZ GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS 2016
Jennifer Lopez is known for her red carpet style. After all, her infamous Versace gown she wore in 2000 to the Grammy Awards caused Google to invent Google Image Search. Yellow is hard to wear on the red carpet (and not look like a walking McDonald’s ad); however, J.Lo aka Slay Lo stunned in Giambattista Valli Couture. Yellow means caution and beware of all this style!
4. RIHANNA AT THE 2016 BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS
While everyone else was sporting see-through style, Rihanna gave us a power shoulder and showed she’s a major style player in vintage Mugler.

7. LUPITA NYONG’O AT QUEEN OF KATWE PREMIERE IN SOUTH AFRICA
Lupita Nyong’o was truly the Queen of Headwrap Style of 2016. I loved how she paired this printed Balmain Resort 2017 dress with an all black headwrap for major elegance and style! The gold face painting above the eyebrows was a nice added touch.
8. NAOMI CAMPBELL AT THE 2016 MET GALA
Naomi Campbell pulls off metallics and cut-outs in this gorgeous, jewel-encrusted Cavalli Couture gown. Showing off her flat stomach and sex appeal, it’s hard to believe this supermodel is actually 45!
9. CYNTHIA ERIVO AT THE 70th ANNUAL TONY AWARDS
What do you wear to win a Tony Award? A statement dress of course. The Color Purple star, Cynthia Erivo arrived at the Tony Awards in a Roberto Cavalli tiered ruffle gown with cut-outs on the side. She paired the printed ensemble with Salvatore Ferragamo, cut-out shoes with a a black suede and gold leather stacked heel placed on a black python sole. Wow!

Feathered and fashionably fabulous, Aja Naomi King wears a white Huishan Zhang gown accented with a black belt and black clutch. What a way to change up black and white style!
11. KENDALL JENNER MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2016
Kendall Jenner wore an asymmetrical black Kristian Aadnevik gown, but it was her Dsquared lace up, thigh high shoes sandals that stole the show. It’s almost as if the dress was there to show off the shoes, versus the other way around!
12. BLUE IVY
Blue Ivy arrives to the MTV VMAs 2016 red carpet looking like a total princess in this beige dress, crown and all. (Mom Beyoncé doesn’t look too bad, either!).
