CLEVELAND – A body was found in Lake Erie at a marina near East 55th Street in Cleveland Thursday morning.
The Cleveland Fire Department confirmed it responded to the lake off North Marginal Road just before noon.
According to Cleveland EMS, there was a body discovered there. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office said it is sending a crew to the scene.
The scene of the incident has been identified as being the Gordon Shore Boat Club, and an employee apparently spotted the body.
The body has since been pulled from the water and rescue teams have left the area. Officers are guarding the body until the ME’s office arrives.
No details about the body have been released yet.
