NORTHFIELD, Ohio – An unidentified body was found in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park by two park rangers who were hiking off-trail.

The body was discovered on the side of the Cuyahoga River near the Highland Road bridge in Northfield about two miles from where the car belonging to Hillary Sharma, a missing 30-year-old from Eastlake , was found August 21.

Rangers were searching for Sharma when they found the body.

“We were searching, as we have been every day since Hillary Sharma was missing,” Mary Pat Doorley, CVNP public affairs officer said. “They were off-trail and they were walking on foot. They went down near the river bank to see if anything was in the river and that’s when it was discovered, the body was discovered.”
