Gospel music’s unsigned hype showed up and showed out this year during the 2011 Stellar Awards pre-show events. Check out the latest and greatest voices you haven’t heard of just yet – urban worship artist Vadia and new praise sensation Myesha Chaney.
These two young ladies brought their unique sounds to the live concert stage at the “Access Granted 2011” showcase and filled the atmosphere with both the sweet sound of worship and as Chaney puts it “a crazy praise.” Vadia brings to gospel what artists like Muhsinah and Vivian Green bring to soul/R&B. Mellow and melodic, subtle and soulful, Vadia is sure to be one young new artist you’ll be hearing more from this year. Be sure to check her new single “Necessity” via the links below.
As relaxed as Vadia’s sound is, her counterpart Myesha Chaney is truly the complete polar opposite. Her tiny frame and youthful appearance is misleading as this woman readies audiences for a worship experience like no other. Chaney adds the element of “Freedom” to anything she does including the live performances of the song touting the same title. She easily makes rock, soul and worship blend in it’s most effortless form. Check out the single which is soon to be a mega-hit among worship teams across the world.
