The network’s first hour-long scripted series, “Single Ladies”, has been renewed for a second season. The show will be taped in late 2011 and will premiere in 2012.

The comedy-drama series has been a great success for VH1. Executive producer, Queen Latifah, says, “We are so happy that we were able to join with VH1 to find such a great home for this incredible show.” “Single Ladies” comes on Monday evenings at 9:00pm ET and averages 2.8 million viewers.

“Single Ladies” follows the lives of three best friends in Atlanta. The show stars LisaRaye McCoy, Stacey Dash and Charity Shea as they deal with their relationships and life on the social scene.

The season finale of the first season airs August 8.
