Its been reported today that 27-year-old singer, Amy Winehouse, was found dead today in her London apartment.

TMZ states: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.

On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.

Although the cause of death is unknown at this time, it’s no secret that Amy Winehouse battled with an addiction to drugs and alcohol and was in and out of rehab for many years during her career. It’s reported that she canceled her tour last month in Europe because she was “completely out of it”.

Amy was signed to Island Def Jam and her hit single, “Rehab” which includes the remix with Jay Z, made her into an international superstar.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Amy Winehouse.
