Cleveland police are investigating after a 14-year-old girl was raped while walking to school.

The attack happened Thursday morning in the area of East 82nd and Linwood.

The girl tells police she was walking on Linwood and as she passed East 82nd, she saw a man talking to a woman. The man said something to her, but she ignored him and kept walking.

The man then came up behind her and asked for money. When she said she didn’t have any, he put a gun to her head and dragged her to the backyard of a vacant Linwood house and sexually assaulted.

Police found the victim’s glasses in the backyard.

The suspect also stole $30 and the teen’s iPod.

The victim – who is a student at MLK – reported the crime to school officials and they called police.

Black on Black Crime is having a rally Friday evening at 7:15PM at East 81 & Linwood to help catch the suspect.;;playerWidth=630;playerHeight=355;isShowIcon=true;clipId=6419623;flvUri=;partnerclipid=;adTag=News;advertisingZone=;enableAds=true;landingPage=;islandingPageoverride=false;playerType=STANDARD_EMBEDDEDscript;controlsType=overlay
