It’s fitting that LL Cool J is hosting this year’s Grammy nomination show “The Grammy Nominations Live!” airing tonight from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on CBS at 10 p.m. EST. The veteran rapper/actor, now starring on the CBS hit “NCIS: Los Angeles,” is a two-time Grammy winner.
If you’re not up on your hip-hop history, no problem, as new history will be made with the show that encompasses a countdown to next year’s Grammy Awards, a concert and the official reveal of the latest Grammy nominees. This is the fourth year the nominations have been done this way.
This year’s performers on “The Grammy Nominations Live” include Grammy winners Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Usher, Ludacris and Lupe Fiasco. Nikki Minaj and Katy Perry are among the night’s presenters. Attendees will also get an exclusive concert by The Band Perry, which takes place once the show goes off the air.
Tickets for tonight’s telecast are still available at www.thenokiatheaterlalive.com. And in a big surprise for their fans, the nomination show will include an announcement by a hugely popular band planning to reunite on the Grammy stage next year.
