Verve Forecast recording artist, Ledisi, received 3 Grammy® nominations for her critically acclaimed album, Pieces of Me. In the company of Marsha Ambrosius, Chris Brown and Cee-Lo Green, who also received multiple nominations, Ledisi is nominated in the following categories: BEST R&B ALBUM, BEST R&B SONG and BEST R&B PERFORMANCE, which is a career total of 7 nominations for the Oakland native.  Speaking on her multiple nominations, “I thought this year could not get any better than Pieces of Me charting so well. Then, I went on my first headlining tour, performing for all my fans across the country, and now to be nominated is truly another dream come true. I am deeply moved by my peers for giving me this honor. I am also extremely grateful to everyone who supports me. Wow….Thank You so much. God is Amazing!”

No stranger to the Grammys®, Ledisi was nominated for Best New Artist and Best R&B Album after her 2007 breakthrough album Lost & Found. In 2010, she garnered two more nods, Best R&B Album and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, for her album Turn Me Loose. The album reached #1 on the Billboard R&B charts and #14 on the Billboard charts and was her highest charting album at the time. Ledisi just wrapped up her first headlining tour entitled “Pieces of Me,” which sold out many dates across the country including, NYC, LA, DC, Chicago and Dallas. She reached the top 5 on the Urban AC Radio charts for her latest single “Stay Together”, the second single off Pieces of Me to do so.

Ledisi recently performed alongside Stevie Wonder at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Dedication in Washington D.C. in front of thousands of spectators and President Obama.

Pieces of Me has not only become a fan favorite, but has also earned critical praise across the nation, from The New York Times to The Los Angeles Times. USA Today remarked “Ledisi fits ‘Pieces’ together perfectly,” and People magazine commented “After surprisingly scoring a Grammy Best New Artist nomination…she continues to prove that was no fluke, displaying shades of Chaka Khan on funky cuts such as ‘Coffee’ and ‘Shut Up.’”

The Rock Hall will be open from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Visitors to the Museum will have the opportunity to tour the facility free of charge until closing. For a list of current exhibits and for more information about this and other Rock Hall events, visit
