Z1079 was in the building with The Word Church Black Out Violince movement this weekend. The Z-Fam Colby Colb, Dr. R.A.Vernon, along with Donte Whitner of the San Francisco 49ers, actress Tae Heckard, Magistrate Ratonio Rucker of Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, musical artist and motivational speaker, Ray Jr., Tiesha Purnell, School Psychologist of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, Steve Sanders of the Steve Sanders Academy, and motivational speaker, Basheer Jones ALL came together with hundreds of Clevelander’s taking a stand against violence. There was food, fun and games for everyone as well as a much needed open forum discussion about stopping the violence, how it is effecting us and our community and how we can be apart of this BLACK OUT movement.

Why is it so necessary for our community to come together in such a time as this?

TheWordChurch: Violence has been ravishing neighborhoods in the Greater Cleveland area for the past five years, and the people of this city are tired! They are tired of kids killing kids; tired of fear-filled residents; tired of being tag lined as one of the most dangerous cities in America.

This rally is only the first phase in the Black Out Violence movement! The B.O.V rally will be followed by phase two encompassing the visiting of various school districts and locations in the Greater Cleveland area. Every young person in Cleveland should know that if there is an opportunity for an influx of positive statistics, it starts with educational awareness. The three phase movement will conclude with a community march to show unity between every race, culture and ethnicity within the city.

Check out the pictures below and also be apart of the #ThinkBeforeYouAct stop the violence movement with Z1079. Text ‘THINK’ to 77000 to take the pledge against violence.
