*Catching a ton of backlash after a radio interview surfaced today in which she calls Oprah Winfrey “a fat beeeatch” who “would’ve been a field n**ger” in the slave era, actress Rae Dawn Chong has posted a video in which she apologizes for the comments.
However, she also insists that her words – said on “Matty P’s Radio Happy Hour” – were “taken out of context.”
The actress, who starred with Winfrey in “The Color Purple,” is urging people to take a minute and listen to the entire interview, which she claims was actually “complimenting” Winfrey.
