EUCLID, Ohio – Crews are at the scene of a house explosion in Euclid that littered the area with debris.

It happened at about 11:30 a.m. Friday. Based on debris, the house’s address is 21531 Miller Ave., which is near East 216th Street. According to firefighters, the house was for sale and reported vacant.

Firefighters said there was a fire when they arrived at the scene. The fire damage was mostly contained to the garage behind the house that exploded.

Other houses also sustained damage. NewsChannel5 photographer Mike Harris said he found debris a half a block away.

Windows were broken at one house across the street. That homeowner said her 1-year-old daughter was in front of the window just moments before the explosion, but wasn’t hurt.
