The TV used to be a source of contention in our marriage. Not because I claimed ownership over the remote control, but because of when and where I chose to watch it. I use the TV more as a comfort blanket than an actual tool for entertainment, while Casey believes the TV is more of a distraction in our marriage. I was raised with a TV in the main room of our house. I still have very vivid memories of sitting in front of our TV while my parents adjusted the rabbit ears and struggled to figure out how to connect and run the brand new technology known as a VCR.
