If your child needs dental care like a cleaning or a filling and you can’t afford it, there’s help this Friday.
Each year in February, dentists across the country provide free oral health care services to thousands of low-income children.
It’s called Give Kids A Smile Day. This year, it’s Friday, Feb. 7.
The program isn’t for families who have dental insurance it’s for families who are low-income and can’t afford dental care.
So how do you get an appointment?
Go to the American Dental Association’s website and search for your state to find a list of dentists who are participating. In Northeast Ohio, Akron and Cleveland both have centers.
When you pick a dentist, call the office directly for an appointment. Make sure you when you call that you say you’re “calling to make an appointment for Give Kids a Smile Day.” Some offices speak Spanish
