The NFL is toughening its rules for personal conduct.
On Wednesday, Commissioner Roger Goodell released new guidelines for all league personnel. NFL teams unanimously endorsed the personal conduct policy.
Under the new rules, an accused player will immediately go on paid leave following formal charges or an independent investigation. A suspension of at least six games without pay will be given violent incidents, including assault, battery and domestic violence.
