The actor was involved this year in the making of a Lifetime television movie based on Diamond’s book, which was slammed for being “inaccurate.”

Police arrested Dustin Diamond, better known as “Screech” in the 1980s sitcom, “Saved by the Bell,” on Friday in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

Diamond, 37, is charged with one felony count of recklessly endangering safety and two misdemeanors — carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a switchblade, according to jail records.

He was being held Friday in lieu of $1,000 bond pending an afternoon court appearance.

Authorities were expected to detail circumstances of the actor’s arrest later Friday.
