Mariah Carey is rumored to have recently inked a deal to begin her Las Vegas residency. Well, at least she will be performing. Many artists go to Las Vegas to extend their career and cash in on their last few minutes of fame. Singers like Britney Spears and Celine Dion have made their exodus to the desert to sing for their devoted fans and have made millions. So it’s not a bad business venture!
While Mariah Carey is every bit of a living legend, we can’t deny that lately she’s been struggling to hit not only her signature high notes, but any notes in her songs.
According to reports, Carey will be earning more than the whopping $30 million Britney Spears was said to have made during her Vegas stint at Planet Hollywood. Rumor has it that Mariah show (The Elusive Chanteuse Show) will help support her latest studio album Me. I am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse. We personally never gave the album a fair chance, but we heard we didn’t have to because it’s well…not the typical divas-status that we expect from Mariah Carey. Either way, unless someone is giving out tickets after spending $25 at H&M, we probably won’t make it. We still love you Mimi, but we don’t want to see you like this.
