WESTON, FL (WOIO) – A Florida hospital was evacuated Friday afternoon after a fire broke out. The massive fire at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston produced plumes of black smoke that could be seen for miles.
The Cleveland Clinic says around 12:30 pm, a fire occurred on the rooftop of a one-story annex under construction. The fire was contained to the roof area and nobody was injured.
As a precaution, the Cleveland Clinic evacuated its outpatient clinic building located nearby for approximately one hour.
