R & B singer Monica was in town with her Code Red Experience at the Cleveland House Of Blues last night, unless your on Social Media heavy, you haven’t heard Monica’s voice in a while and she has not skipped one beat. Monica took us way back to her teenage days with classic’s like “Before You Walk Out My Life” to “Everything To Me’. She paid homage to entertainers that are no longer with us and ones that are, like herself, keeping R&B music alive. Monica at one point during her performance brought her back-up singers to the forefront showcasing their incredible voices to the sold-out audience (which included a front row of family and friends), all while incorporating her sense of humor.
Monica now age 35 showed her maturation and humbleness by sharing with the audience her struggles through hard times and dark days but more importantly exemplifiying that by embracing those things, lead her to her brighter days.
Although the tour is about her new album “CODE RED” due out in December of this year, the now NBA wife and mother, made it clear that the #CodeRedExperience is all about the love of life, music, family and friends.
