CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
The Cleveland Browns lost more than the game Sunday. Browns quarterback Josh McCown was injured in the first quarter of the game against the Baltimore Ravens and played through the end.
He will be watching from the sidelines this Sunday when the Browns fly down to Miami to take on the Dolphins. Monday Coach Hue Jackson confirmed that McCown won’t play.
Next on the depth chart is rookie quarterback Cody Kessler. The Browns selected Kessler (Southern California) with the 93rd overall pick.
McCown tried to rally the Browns back in the 4th quarter after going up 20-2 at the end of the first half.
“It think it is just not wanting to not be out there with your guys. I have a dad and an older brother who get up and go to work and sometimes they don’t feel great and they go. They go and they grind. I have two little boys that are playing football now. They get hit and they get banged up, and I am trying to teach them what toughness means,” McCown said.
