It has been sadly reported that the Grammy Award winning jazz legend, Al Jarreau, died this morning around 9 a.m. It was reported just last week that Al Jarreau had retired due to heath issues.

Jarreau died about 9 a.m. ET surrounded by his wife, son and a few friends, according to posts on his Facebook page and Twitter account. courtesy of CNN

The 76 year old Grammy Award winning Al Jarreau is most notably known for his Quiet Storm hit “After All”, the theme song “Moonlighting” of the hit television show Moonlighting that starred Bruce Willis, R&B hit “We’re In This Love Together” and countless others. Al Jarreau received a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2001 for a legendary career that started in 1967 and continued as of date.
