CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –

The Cleveland Cavaliers announced on Wednesday Tristan Thompson suffered a sprained right thumb during the 3rd quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Orlando Magic.

Thompson was taped and able to continue playing. X-rays taken at the arena following the game were negative.

The Cavs said Thompson did not travel with the team to Boston.

Evaluation results from the Cleveland Clinic shows he has a sprained right thumb. He will not play on Wednesday against the Boston Celtics and Friday against the Atlanta Hawks.
