Former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Michael D. Jackson was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday morning, TMZ reports.
Louisiana State Police say the crash occurred in Tangipahoa, Louisiana. Officials say Jackson’s motorcycle was traveling at a “high rate of speed” when it collided with a car as it backed out from a parking spot into the highway.
Jackson’s motorcycle reportedly crashed through the driver’s side of the other vehicle, killing the other driver, according to TMZ.
Jackson spent eight years in the NFL from 1991 to 1998. The first five years of his career were with Cleveland, during which he played 69 games and caught 170 receptions for 2,797 yards.
