Clive Davis revealed Saturday night at his annual pre-Grammys party that Aretha Franklin has chosen Oscar and Grammy winner, Jennifer Hudson to portray her in an upcoming biopic about the Queen Of Soul.
According to Deadline, ‘Straight Outta Compton‘ producer Scott Bernstein will produce the film alongside music producer Harvey Mason, Jr., who worked with Hudson on the 2006 film ‘Dreamgirls‘.
Jennifer Hudson took the stage at Davis’ party to perform a melody of Aretha’s hits to close out the night.
