CLEVELAND – A man was fatally shot near Duggan Park on Cleveland’s east side late Thursday night.
The shooting happened on the 18200 block of Olympia Road around 11:40 p.m., police said. The victim was identified as Andre Wilson Jr., 23, of Bedford, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.
According to authorities, Wilson was hanging out with a large group of people near the park when a single shot was fired by an unknown person. When police arrived they found Wilson lying on the sidewalk next to a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his torso. Wilson was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
