People.com reports, “On Jan. 6, a group of 63 women who hold various positions in the Christian ministry boarded an 8-day cruise on the ship Carnival Magic. The trip was meant to foster ‘fellowship and professional development.’”

On the second night of their cruise, several women went to a nightclub on the ship and DJ Bl4ck Zoe reportedly played R. Kelly’s “Bump N’ Grind.” People.com claims the women were offended as were more than a dozen others in the nightclub” and the DJ was asked to change the music.  However, “‘Instead of paying attention to our requests to switch the song, the DJ began singing, dancing, and taunting us,’ says one member of the group, who wished to remain anonymous.”

The women saw the DJ in different area of the ship later in the  evening and the DJ reportedly began “singing the same song, dancing, and mocking the group again.” A blog post about the incident says the women who initially approached the DJ were Black. However, when white women complained is when guest services took the complaint seriously and by the fifth day of the eight-night cruise, the DJ was removed. However, People.com reports, “Carnival reportedly refused to remove R. Kelly’s music from their playlists because, they said, the Carnival Cruise Line corporation decides which songs are played on all 26 of their vessels.”

Carnival credited nine of the Black women $100 for the inconvenience, but they are asking for their full trip to credited, a public apology and for R. Kelly’s music to be removed from their playlists.

In case you missed it, attorney Michael Avenatti said Thursday that he has new damning video evidence that he gave to prosecutors in Cook County, Illinois. The high-profile lawyer said in a statement that he was hired last April in connection to multiple allegations of Kelly sexually assaulting minors. He claimed to have a 45-minute VHS tape as evidence, which, despite its similarities, was not the same video got Kelly indicted in 2002 — and acquitted in 2008 — for child porn.

The chips might be falling for R. Kelly.
