Joselyn Lewis went to her daughters High School in Texas to register her daughter for classes one day when the school held up the  stop sign on her and told her no ma’am, not today, not looking like that!?

What was the problem?

The school did not approve of Ms. Lewis’s attire that consisted of an over-sized T-Shirt (dress), head scarf and flip flop’s, according to school her swag was in violation of the school dress code there for she could not come on the premises looking like that.

Jocelyn Lewis say’s her attire wasn’t a problem when she picked her child up from school:

“I’m not saying that it’s a part of my religion, but it could have been, but I just wanted to have it up,” she said. “Who are you to say that I can’t wear my hair up? In a scarf? Who are you to tell me how to dress?”

The question is, well there’s a couple question’s:  Was the school out of line for denying Ms. Lewis access to the school because of her attire?  Does the school have the right to have a dress code for parents?
