Rapper 50 Cent in a recent interview said that he was afraid of politics because, “It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.” To Fifty’s point Fat Joe passionately let his feelings fly when he said Puerto Ricans who are still supporting Donald Trump in the presidential election, are ‘house n**gas’.
During an event to engage Black and Brown male voters, rapper Fat Joe responded to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s joke where he called the island of Puerto Rico “garbage.” Rapper Fat Joe leaned back and let his feelings flow.
“It breaks my heart,” “How the hell are they gonna call Puerto Rico, ‘An island of garbage,’ and when I post on my Instagram, ‘These the guys you voting for?’ and I see Puerto Ricans, ‘No, we’re still for Trump 2024, that’s that house n*gga mentality.” “That’s a Latino that wishes he was white. Those [are] the guys in the comments…change their voice up [and] try to sound white…Those guys I been fighting my whole life.”
Fat Joe was born and raised in the South Bronx area of New York City by parents of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent. Although Fat Joe was Latino, he grew up, in a 90% black neighborhood.
